About Scott
Scott grew up around music.  From the time he was a small child, he loved music and could feel it in his soul. He always had a song on his mind and showed a rare talent from an early age  In his mind, he wasn't "all that great", but loved the music scene. He "roadied" for a band and gained the experience of the hard work that goes on behind the scenes,as well as what it takes to give a performance.
While he was working this scene, he had a chance to get on the other side of the microphone.  His singing spirit did not go unnoticed.  When he sang, people listened.  He began to realize his potential and got interested as well as serious about his singing.  Lucky for us that he did.
Scott sang karoke for a while in the local area.  he received quite an education in singing during this time and gives credit to Bob Green for helping bring out his natural ability.

One of Scott's old music buddies heard his performance one night and invited him to audition for the spot of lead singer in the band he was in, called Showdown.  Scott auditioned and, of course, gained the spot.  The name of the band was changed to the Studebaker Hawk Band.  During the time with this band, his love for music just got deeper and his performance got greater.  The band developed a strong musical and personal relationship.  Within a couple of months, they were opening for Lee Greenwood.  They were also the opening act for a local rising country star, Mitch Glenn.  They also gave many performances in places like the Historic Morganton Festival.

The Studebaker Hawk Band stayed together for about two years and gained a loyal following of country fans.  A couple of the band members left the band for personal reasons, and four of the band members along with Scott formed the current band, The Scott Davis Band.

Scott has been influenced by many country singing greats such as Travis Tritt, Merle Haggard, Lynard Skynard, George Strait, and Alan Jackson.  The very first song he sang at a live performance was a Tritt great, "Anymore".

Scott and The Scott Davis Band opened for Tracy Lawrence at the last Historic Morganton Festival.   They gave a rousing performance at the Crawdads Stadium in September when they opened for Eric Church.  In the words of the fans that night "Scott Rocks"!!!!!!

The Band has just finished taping a television series that will air on our local television station.  The series will run each Friday night from March through May

Scott's love for music shows in every note and every movement.   He sings from the heart and feels each song from the soul.  His greatest thrill is to feel and hear the response from his audience.  This response is what feeds his performance.  His shows are high energy, and the more response he gets from the audience, the greater his show.

Scott lives in Burke County, N.C. and has a wonderful family that keeps him busy when he is not involved in his music - his children,Scottie,Brianna,Dylan, Aleah and his wife, Rebecca.
